Crystal Yoga by Agnidevi
Namaste everyone, my name is Agnidevi Agnese Mandetta and I am a teacher of Hata and Kundalini yoga.
I am also attuned to the mineral world and would like to share its great gifts with yoga practitioners.
Crystal Yoga is the practice of dynamic asanas (=yoga postures) and meditation with the aid of healing crystals and stones.

How To Practice Crystal Yoga
If you engage in a dynamic sequence, like Surya Namaskar (= Sun Salutation), it is best not to wear any necklaces, earrings, pendants, bracelets or rings, as they interfere with the physical and subtle movement of energy.
However, you can create a grid of healing stones around your yoga mat. You will need just 4 pieces, although you can place more if you like.
For the basic grid, place one crystal in front of you, one behind, one on your left side and the last piece on the right one. Space them well, so as not to hurt yourself with them as you move.
Meditations with crystals and healing stones allow you to wear them in form of necklaces, earrings, pendants, bracelets and rings. My advice is for the earrings to be short and light in weight and the rings to be a little loose fitting, as you will often need to form Mudras (= yogic postures for hands).
The meditations can be static, sitting on a chair or a yoga mat, or dynamic, walking slowly while doing breath work and holding mudras.
Both asanas and meditations can be done while listening to Mantras (= spiritual formulas). There will be ample choice, as I will recommend mantras from the Vedic, Sikh and Buddhist traditions.

The Crystals
Your healing stones and crystals need to be clean and energized before using them. It is also necessary to clean and recharge them after your yoga session or before the next one.
Cleaning Tumbled Stones or Crystals: hold a piece in your hand under cold, running tap water. Stroke it with your thumb until it becomes difficult to make the thumb slide easily on it. When this happens, the stone is clean.
Cleaning Raw Stones or Crystals: hold a piece in your hand under cold, running tap water and ask the Divine to clean the stone you can also chant a purifying mantra, like Om Benza Sato Hung a few times while the water runs.
Purifying Tumbled and Raw Stones or Crystals: Take 2 identical glass bowls or platters. Fill one with salt. Put the second bowl on top of the first and push it down a little, so as to make the salt underneath to spread well along the sides of the bowl. Place the stones into the second bowl. They will benefit from the power of the salt, which will absorb any negative energy, while being safe from the corrosive, matting effect of the salt. (I rarely place my crystals and healing stones into salt water). Leave the crystals into the bowl from one to maximum 3 hours. Then proceed to recharge them.
Recharging Tumbled and Raw Stones or Crystals: Put them onto a tray or plate and place it under the sun or moon rays. According to Doreen Virtue, the night before the full moon is ideal to recharge all kinds of crystals.

Gurus, Saints, Angels And Ascended Masters
Minerals and the angelic kingdom go hand in hand. Feel free to invoke any Divine messenger while placing the stones around you or before starting your session. You will soon notice the extra boost of energy in the room and the extra sparkle on your healing stones.
